In order to fill the position of Western Provincial Management Service Officer (MSO) Service Grade III through 2026, the Western Provincial Public Service Commission has opened applications for the Open Competitive Examination.
Qualifications for Education :
- completed the GCE O/L Examination in one sitting, passing six (6) subjects with credit passes for four (4) subjects, including Sinhala, Tamil, English, and Mathematics.
- passed every subject on the G.C.E. A/L Examination in a single sitting, with the exception of General English and the Common General Test.
Requirement for Residency :

Age Limit :
- be at least eighteen and no older than thirty as on November 15, 2026.
Exam Papers :
The written examination consists of two papers :
- Language Proficiency: 2½ hours, 100 marks
- Aptitude: 100 points in an hour
To be eligible for an appointment, candidates must receive at least 40% in each topic and at least 50% of the overall points. Merit and the quantity of open positions will be taken into consideration while making selections.
